TWO EYE CLINICS FOR ETHIOPIA

Doctors are people led to “take care” of those in need by their own function and training.

Some of them “go”, some others “do differently”.

They take their holidays and leave for distant countries of which their patients do not even know the name and existence and others like Dr. Remo Cavoli, a long-time ophthalmologist in Sassuolo, decides to donate two clinics to crown his professional activity.

This is how GSI Italia is called by the doctor from Modena and by his wife Marisa Callegari to be the source of their generosity and solidarity and decide who will use the professional equipment.

The Gondar University Clinic and the St Paul’s Hospital in Addis Ababa will receive the two eye clinics, which will be sent by a container made available to GSI Italia by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

More and more doctors are working with GSI Italia in Africa and some of them express their solidarity with donations such as that of Dr. Remo. The Ethiopian doctors thank him and continue the activity carried out by this doctor in the Horn of Africa, thousands of kilometers away from Sassuolo.

Another way among others to become actors and promoters of humanity and participate in the commitment of cooperation to the development of GSI Italia in the South of the world.
